     Magazines come in all shapes and sizes. Some magazines touch on more serious topics such as scientific research or new medical discoveries. While other magazines focus on the more fun parts of life like traveling or video games. Certain magazines pull in different audiences who are particularly drawn to that subject area. The magazine genres that pull me in the most are travel, fashion, And celebrity entertainment.  

Travel Magazines:

Travel magazines are designed to show us the finer things in life. They use beautiful photos of destinations to draw the readers in. However, travel magazines do not only fill their pages with pictures of the most stunning locations in the world. They also provide their readers with tips when traveling to certain locations. Such as which areas are safe and which areas they should avoid or fun activities the location has to offer. Travel magazines such as Travel + Leisure draw in an audience of people who enjoy traveling or hope to travel one day. This gives them a chance to scope out which locations they would want to visit as well as getting an idea of what fun things there are to do and build an itinerary for their upcoming trip.  

Fashion Magazines: 

With the trends changing every second fashion magazines are a valuable source to keep everyone up to date on what's in and what's out. Along with telling the reader about the latest trends that are sweeping the fashion world, fashion magazines also provide their readers with cool fashion tips and unique ways to wear or style their clothing. Fashion magazines such as Vogue draw in people (mostly women) who see fashion as a way to express themselves. Many readers of fashion magazines look to them as a source of advice and often take inspiration from the way they style certain articles of clothing to the way they dress their models and make it fit their own personal fashions sense.  

Celebrity Entertainment Magazines:

Celebrity entertainment magazines or what I like to call “gossip magazines” are increasingly popular in today's society because everyone wants to know everything about are most beloved celebrities. In this genre of magazines expect to see stories and news about certain celebrities and what they are up to. But you will also find out about all the grimy details of their lifestyle such as celebrity scandals or even deep dives into the personal lives of many well-known celebrities. Celebrity entertainment magazines like People draw in young, aged people who are interested in the lives of celebrities and what goes on when all the cameras are off. Many readers enjoy keeping up on what is happening in Hollywood. Although it is interesting to find out more about the celebrities we love, these magazines sometimes show us the harsh realities of Hollywood and that fame is not what it is cracked up to be.
