 Portfolio Blog Requirements Reflection

I have never really been into blogging that much. I have followed many vlogs on a variety of topics such as video games, travel, and baking.  But growing up in a generation where technology is so vastly expanding it just never really made sense to me. Because there were so much more interesting alternatives. For example, vlogging became widely popular in my middle school years. And that has always seemed more interesting to me because you're getting all the information that you could get from blogs but as a video, so it was able to hold my attention. So, I embark on my own journey of blogging my whole process I believe I will just go with the flow. But I've been considering different ways in which I should format my blogs and think I am most comfortable writing my blogs in paragraph form. However, I do know I want my blog to be very put together and neat. I've been finding using bloggers different editing tools as an interesting way to design my blog, so it feels a little more like me. I hope to blog at least 2 times per week. But i like writing a lot so I will probably end up blogging a lot more than I initially expected.

Magazine Portfolio:

When making my magazine portfolio it will need to include:
  • Cover page
  • Table of contents
  • 2-page spread

I always love it when it is time to check out at the grocery store and you see the huge layout of magazines. It always draws my attention because I want to know who is getting married, who got caught cheating, and most importantly the new fashion trends. Magazines always do such an excellent job of catching the viewers' attention. To the point of when you are standing in that checkout line, you are almost willing to drop a few extra dollars than you expected just so you can read it in your car. When I was younger, I loved all magazines from Tiger Beat to People magazine. Reading gossip magazines while waiting in the doctor's office was always my favorite past time. And today I remain true to that. While yes, I still enjoy gossip magazines, but I also to a liking to fashion magazines like Vogue. I like Vogue for two reasons. I love to see what kind of futuristic designs they decided to produce and secondly, I always enjoy guessing what celebrity they will decide to put on the cover each time.

Critical Reflection Component:

If I am being honest this is the part, I am looking forward to the most. As an actor I really want to use this as a chance to show off my creative and more humors side. I want to do a documentary type video to reflect upon the entire process. But I want to use the same kind of format as the show The Office. So that includes random cutaways, sarcasm, and of course laughter. I want to be able to use this component as a way to reflect on the process but also have some fun while doing it. And I honestly just think this type of reflection just fits my personality and will make the entire project a little more me.
